Tryouts for the 2008 teams were well-attended, despite the winter weather. Congratulations to those students selected tonight!
Also, thank you to Rich Rukin, who is retiring as the author of the tryouts after 28 years (a perfect number of years).
Tryouts for the 2008 Chicago ARML Teams will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2008, from 4 to 10pm (with a break for dinner).
The Chicago ARML Teams web site has undergone a move to WordPress to allow for easier site management, better archiving of past news, and greater flexibility. Hopefully, we will have discussion forums working soon as well.

Chicago A took 7th place nationally at the 2007 ARML Competition.
Tryouts for the 2007 Chicago ARML Teams will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2007, from 4 to 10 pm (with a break for dinner) at Evanston Township High School in Evanston, IL.
Three Chicago team members scored 7 out of 8 on the individual round (there was only one 8 nationally). Chicago A team member Jenny Iglesias, a sophomore at Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy, placed sixth nationally on tie breakers among students who scored 7.
Congratulations to all the Chicago team members on a good contest!

The site will provide the ability for alumni of the Chicago ARML Teams to add their information to a directory of alumni, search the directory, and communicate with other users through a message board type system. The site is not yet fully tested and debugged and still considered to be in beta testing. Direct any questions to alumni@chicagoarml.org.
